About Susan

I’ve always been drawn to the things that make a place or a moment feel special. The feeling of being somewhere you love.

With a background in interior design and architecture, I’ve always thought about how color, scale, texture, and artwork come together to create a feeling in a space. When I began painting, that way of seeing naturally came with me.

But painting became about more than creating something beautiful for a room. It became a way for me to slow down, process some of life’s big emotions, and pay attention to the things I don’t want to forget.

I think of my paintings as remembered rather than documented. They aren’t meant to recreate a moment exactly as it was. They’re about the way we remember it, the colors that stay with us, the feeling of a place, or the little details that somehow become part of our story.

My hope is that when one of my paintings finds its way into your home, it becomes part of your story, too.
